HOW TO LOSE 15 kgs IN A MONTH!!!!!!

ALERT!!! I'm starting a new diet plan and my activities shall be posted daily on this link. You will get a real life experience as I will be updating my virtual diary daily.

NOTICE: PLEASE DONT COMMENT ON THE BLOG. YOU CAN APPROACH ME DIRECTLY THROUGH MY EMAIL ADDRESS GIVEN BELOW

"Aditya, you're just 17...you look absolutely fine (flattering)...you don't need to lose weight"...that was the most common comment I would get whenever I came up with dieting....and some people just laughed it off thinking that I'll never be able to lose more than 2 kgs which I am gonna eventually gain back. But its time they take their words back....I've Lost 15 kgs in less than a month!! (without any fainting incident and not even a weakness stroke!!).
I wasn't a health-conscious person. I never thought even once before gulping something down. I wasn't obese or a huge-tummy guy...but I actually weighed 104 kgs!!!! OMG!!!! right?! But the last time I checked the scale, I weigh only 89 now!! (my perfect weight being around 83 kgs). Suck on that now! Excuse me on my language but I am just too proud of myself. After 8 months, I am finally wearing T-shirts again!!! My tummy is almost in and my body is nearing its proper form. I am now L from XXL and i've dropped down 2 inches of my waist already!
Enough of me now....Lets just start with the tips and diet plan.
TIPS and STEPS:

1. GET BUSY!!!
The more distracted and occupied you are, the less you munch on quick bites.

2. A REFRIGERATOR and NOT A JUNKYARD!
Keep those desserts and sodas for special occassions only (not more than 2ce a week and that too in a limited quantity). Fill your refrigerator with vegetables, salads, fruits, sugar-free juices. And get rid of the bread in there! prefer multi-grain instead.

3. RUN FOR THE CHICKEN
Its advisable to stay away from red meat (pork, mutton, beef, etc). Go for the white meat instead (chicken, fish, prawns, turkey).

4. FIZZ THE SODA OUT!!!
If you're a soda addict, better go for digestive sodas and not coke. Diet Soda is the worst thing you can consider when you're dieting coz it has the tendency to lock in your fats and makes it more difficult to lose weight.

5. MOVE THAT LAZY A**
Join a gym. Its not essential to opt for heavy-workouts...cardio would be fine. And if you've got a sedentary life-style (job,college,house-wives)...a 1 hour jog in the morning and a 1/2 hour walk before bed is a must!

6. NEVER BE SINGLE, GET MINGLED!
If you're planning to eat-out, always have someone for company. Not only do they encourage you to avoid unnecessary carbs and fabs, they also limit your consumption when it comes to sharing.

7. DOODH KAM CHAI!
Limit your tea/coffee consumption to just 1 cup a day. Incase if you're a second-rounder....try going for black-coffee or green-tea. And cut out the sugar if you're willing to.

8. RESISTANCE
Try resisting junk food and rice and milk-products. I know this is something where most of us give up, but I've got 2 ways out! Meditate.....I'm not talking about the ramdev aasans, I am referring to the inner-peace meditation. This helps you to control your desires and keep makes you the master of your game. And if you fail to resist, not more than a couple of bites. And if you're extremely hungry...just nibble on some nuts (only while the sun shines).

9. OATS AND FLAKES
Oats, corn-flakes and wheat-flakes.....thats more than enough to fill in for your break-fast!

10. LIVE SUGAR-FREE
You can't be completely sugar-free, but try avoiding sugar as much as you can!

11. UN-FRY
Junk and fried food should be banned from your menu! I know they're too difficult to resist and especially if you have that always-on-a-move lifestyle, you can't help it. But these things can simply destroy your entire weight-programme. Donuts, Bagels, pizzas, hamburgers, barbecues, Taco-Bells, KFCs... stay away from them! I've adopted the non-junk lifestyle and I feel a lot healthier and unstressed. These things are the ultimate slow-poisons. I prefer eating nothing at all than eating them...and I'm better off without them

Now moving on the the diet-plan:

WEEK 1 (FRUIT WEEK)
Basically, this week is completely dedicated to flushing away the garbage you've been carrying in your stomach all this while. You need to have a clean tummy before you start with the actual diet.

Break-fast: 1 banana before you leave for the gym or before you go to your class/college/job.
1 whole fruit after a gap of 1/2 an hour with a glass of juice or milk maybe. But make sure the juice is fresh and not canned! This winds up your break-fast.

Lunch : Have a cucumber-carrot-tomato salad to cool down your bowels. But no dressing please!  . And a glass of juice to go along with it.

Dinner : Don't you even think of eating anything after 7 pm!! You can have an apple with a cup of green-tea                              (no sugar) before the dead-line. Try sleeping early as an approach to a healthier lifestyle. Everything counts.

WEEK 2-4
Break-fast: 1 Banana early morning. 1 bowl of cereal with not more than 1 t/b sugar after a gap of an hour accompanied with 1 hard boiled egg white. If you're a vegetarian, try using soymilk in your cereal and hence, ,ake up for the egg proteins.

Lunch: 2 chapatis/bread and some cooked pulses. Its more preferrable to keep the salad and the soup for the evening. Remember, losing 15 kgs in a month is not a joke, it needs some serious dedication.

Dinner: Vegetable or fruit salad or home-made soup. You can also go for cooked chicken (boiled, barbecued, smoked) occasionally, but limit it to not more than 300 grams a week. (The 7 pm dead-line still applies). AND STRICTLY NO RICE FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH. Even if you can't resist it, not more than once a week, that too brown rice! Carbohydrates are like quick sources of energy; your body doesn't need to work hard enough to break them down. If you limit your carbs, the body goes for the pre-stored carbs in the form of fats stored in your body. And since rice good for nothing but starch (a form of carbohydrates, and so is sugar) your fats won't burn as efficiently.

(It may seem  extremely difficult in the beginning, but if you're in need of some quick weight-loss programme, you need to stay focused. After the fruit-week, things seem easier as your appetite gets limited. Remember, nothing is as simple as it sounds; but in the end, its all upto your desperation and obedience to achieve what you want. Now when I look at myself and go through my 104 kg photos, the feeling is overwhelming enough. Don't forget to check out how to maintain the size after achieving your desired weight. 3. I did only cardio for a month; the best fat-burner/tummy-tucker exercise. Going for a 1 hour jog in the morning and a walk after dinner are as good as going to a gym. Plus: You can dance at your place as as well. You don't need to be a good dancer or anything; just turn the music on and burn some calories. Its a stress-reliever as well and it makes you feel better. but a 'lil' work-out can't give you the expected result. You'll lose somewhere around 5-8 kgs. Follow the dance+jog+walk routine I gave you...always works for me :)

  12. Hello again,
For the first week, for dinner what is good to eat?

    ReplyDelete
  13. night is the time your body is the most active (in digestion terms). So keep your stomach light-loaded. Have a full-size fruit with a cup of green-tea or black-tea or tomato juice or anything which is rich in anti-oxidants. It helps speeding up your metabolism. contact me through e-mail for further queries. You can find my personal email in the tabs above.

  14. hey dude... your friend yash showed me this, and im really motivated, im 95kgs now and intend to shred all the fats as soon as possible... Ive started ur diet already, i can control my cravings and i feel perfectly energetic... but plz tell me some effective cardio coz i can't jog for more than 8 minutes, but i do play badminton everyday for an hour an half and walking sometimes... But I'd be really glad if u can help me out more... :)

    1. Walk for 5 minutes and suddennly start running for another 4 minutes; then repeat the cycle once again. Running at a stretch for 8 minutes is just gonna kill your stamina. Instead; do it in breaks. And be regular with your badminton and night-walk; you'll be fine :)

    1. fine; have chickoos instead. And to make up for the protein and fibre; have a glass of soya milk (200ml) every morning. It tastes pathetic, but you'll get used to it. Meanwhile; close your eyes, hold your breath and push it down your throat :)

    1. MAGGI! isn't it considered to be one of the junk foods and a mode of unhealthy dieting. Have a full bowl of clear-soup if you really want to eat something. Please get rid of those ready-to-eat and quick meals from your stock. You can even go for a veg subway sandwich, but with the low-fat sauces ofcourse (sweet onion, vinaigrette, mustard, chilli, honey-mustard) but not more than once a week if you're looking for a quick weight-loss. Or have a serving (4-5) high fibre biscuits. Or you can even go for a whole bowl of oat-meal cookies if you want to (no sugar) but I can't gurantess you a 15 kg weight loss then. And instead of chickoos and bananas, have pineapples. :) reach for my personal email address for further queries. :)

  22. Hi I am 15 years old and in about 2 months I am going to have a Judo tournament which is a martial tournament where I fight other fighters. In the tournament they place you in weight categories and currently I weigh 66kg and would like to lose the 15kg so i can weigh 51kg so I don't have to fight other fighters who are much older, stronger and more experienced than me. So I was wondering will you PLAN work for me and is it safe for my age and weight to lose that 15kg and if it isn't what would be the safe amount of weight to lose.
Thanks for all your help and as soon as you reply I'll begin your PLAN

  24. HI! I need to lose 10kg in the next 2 weeks. Do you think this is possible? I am a 19 year old overweight female. I was wondering ever since I started your diet I feel too week to work out at all and my weight has remained stagnant the past week and a half, is it because Im not exercising? If I dont exercise will it still be possible to lose weight. I need to know if 10kg in 2 weeks is possible! Thanks

    1. Well, i have a brilliant suggestion for that; have a can of red bull or a bottle of glatorade before you start your routine; it has helped me stay up and run miles while I survived on a fruit and a bowl of cornflakes throughout the day

  25. Hi

I have been bodybuilding for the last 10 years, however since I got married 2 months ago, I've put on 14 kg of mostly fat, as I have completely stopped training since I got married :).

I now want to return to my previous good physique and want to lose excess fat as well as trying to preserve as much muscle mass as possible.

Therefore could i incorporate 2 protein shakes (each protein shake contains 25g protein, 3g carbs, 2g fat) as well as 300g of boiled chicken breast (60g of protein, 6g fat, 3g carbs) into your suggested meal plan? This would be so to preserve as much muscle mass possible whilst losing weight

If yes, how would you suggest i include this in your above suggested diet?

As far as training is concerned, I hope to implement cardio as per your recommendations as well as weight train 3 times a week.

    Many thanks

    ReplyDelete
  26. Just to add, I intend to take the 2 protein shakes and 300g of boiled chicken breast every day.

    Thanks again

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well, that sounds perfect! Just don't eat anything after 8 in the evening. And don't you think 300gms of boiled chicken is a little too much? Chicken, apart from being the richest protein source also has a lot of undesired trans-fat. Why not cut it down to 200 gms and try substitute your milk with your cereals with soymilk instead? Just saying, in the end...depends on the muscle content of your body. If you intend to burn the fats, and that too in a quickie, you can alternate your work-out schedule between cardio and lower-body + abs; your BMR would not be affected as a result. If any further query, you know my email address (its in the end of the post)

  27. Thanks for the prompt response. Will act on your sound advice. But which meals should i replace the two protein shakes and 200g of chicken with. cheers

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Replace the glass of milk with a glass of protein shake. And then have another glass in the evening. Have chicken for your lunch. Don't follow the fruit week diet; you don't need it. Are your protein supplements carb-free? Make sure they are...

    3. Surya Namaskar must be practiced on an empty stomach (early morning soon after your wake-up). Skipping can be done either before your cardio or after your surya namaskar; but like any other exercise routine, on a light stomach. Stair climbing...yes. How many levels do you climb? Is it significant enough? a 4 storey fast climb burns upto 40 calories. And a final suggestion: Skipping must be done with proper work-out shoes on.

    6. try making up for your ramazan in the morning by eating as many fruits and eggs(not more than 3 whole eggs; the rest to be egg whites only). Have your milk with honey, if you're not allergic.(only through the season of ramzan). On breaking your fast, have as many carb-rich fruits as you can (like dates, mangoes, palms, papayas, bananas and anything which is sweet). You can have a few grams of chicken as well; but not more than 100 gms and that too occasionally (2-3 times a week).

  30. Hi,Adi! How are you? I'm 82 kg overweight female & I really want a perfect diet to lose at least 15 kg in one month. So in this ramadan diet how much weight will lose? Please give me the reply as soon as possible.

    Replies
    1. Sorry for the terribly late reply. What you can do is try having as many fruits and half an hour later have atleast 3 egg whites in the morning. You can also have 2 whole eggs but not more than 2. So in all; you'll be having 5 eggs (2 whole, 3 whites) at the minimal. Also, have a glass of milk half with your fruits. Try adding honey if you're not allergic to it. On breaking your fast in the evening, have as much of carbohydrates as possible. Fruits like dates, palms, papayas, bananas and other sweet fruits like mangoes and jack-fruits. You can also have chicken once a week but not more than 100 grams in one meal. Before you go to bed; have a glass of lemonade. Contact me after Ramadan. And yeah, Ramadan Mubarak...belated ;)

  32. Hello, I feel so motivated after reading your blog post! I'm a 66kg overweight female so I'm wondering will it be as effective cause I've heard that it is harder to lose weight if your starting point is lower. I really want to lose at least 15kgs

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes,it's difficult. Generally; its easier to burn the newly accumulated fats than burning the older ones. If you've been overweight for a while; then it might just need a little more effort than breaking a sweat. But if you've recently gained all those pounds, then it won't be a really difficult job. The diet is certainly effective, but is your sincerity guaranteed? You're the only one who can judge that. You might not be able to drop 15 kgs in a month ofcourse, but the goal is achievable.

  33. HI ADI ,

I have done two days of the first week and this is what i ate an apple in the morning , a cucumber carrot and apple with blacksalt for lunch and green tea with apple for dinner around 715 pm all times i have fruits with black salt . The first day I did a lot of physical labour as was renovating my house and was moving huge beds tables and had to clean the whole garage in the heat and couldnt go to the gym . I was all sweaty and trust me my clothes were are drenched with sweat , the second day today i went for an early morning run . I plan to follow this strict diet and loose 15 kgs as I really have to , my only point of concern is if you can suggest me some home fat loss exercises example floor exercises etc that can help me tone up . I weigh 98 at the moment and want to loose at least 15 kgs before i go back to my university . Also My gym membership expired and as i am only in india for a month more I think its too expensive to renew it for a month . ALSO i have club membership and can go for a swim regularly for this month . I USED to weigh 110 kgs when i came here to india in may , but i went for a 76 kms trek to the himalyas with some friends and which required 6 hours of walking near the glaciers etc like gaumukh and tapovan . SO i managed to loose some weight during this and some through the gym , however i never dieted before in my life , I used to eat alot of non veg but have given up eating meat sice 2 months and i am now a vegetarian . Please help me out bro as I really want to loose at least 15 in this month and i will continue following this diet rigourously . Hope you reply to this lengthy post of mine as I see you were also once in my position ad would understand how i feel .

    1. Sorry for the late reply, was out for a week. Don't completely give up on your non-veg diet. Youc an have egg-whites on alternate mornings if you are planning to jog every morning. It is also suggested that you take on a can of red bull or maybe glatorade during the mid-day; it helped me stay up and energetic. And to point out, you are following the exact same diet which I was when I set out on the weight-loss program; I hope it shows the same results on you just as in my case. Instead of swimming, an early morning jog seems a better option; but whatever suits you the best. Do you have a skipping rope? You better have one. Skip for 10 minutes everyday apart from your other work out routines. Floor exercises that can tone you up? There are MANY! Get an ab-mat and perform half-crunches and leg-raise ups. But in all cases, if you want a proper cut-shape tone up; you might consider getting back to the gym once you start with your university.

As the saying goes, Breakfast like a king's, lunch like the prince's and dinner like the queen's. You can alternate between a bowl of soup and a salad though against the apple. Thank You.

I'm starting the gym just signed up for A 12 month membership but I don't think I'd survive eating very lightly in the fruit week of ur diet plan, I weigh like 95 and I'm a girl I don't even know where all the weight has come from maybe from my lack of prior physical activity, but I really want to go down to at least 75 kgs but how long will I have to stick to this? To lose the 20 or more KGs? I'm going to do this with my mum, but I must lose it while I'm still a teen coz as I get older I know it will be harder to lose! Thanks

You know, everyone can come up with their own diet with a little help from sites like mine; but the will to lose weight is essential. I am sure you wanna look the brightest on your wedding day!

  46. Hey adi, I need to lose around 40 kgs in 3 mnth so i wanna start with ur diet but the thing is i weigh around 118 kgs and I am 25, because of my large body weight I am unable to excercise, and I start getting very short of breath (i have asthama too) within 5 mins of walking, so I was thinking that I do brisk walks on the treadmill 10 mins at a time, and I do this 5 times in a day and follow ur diet, will it still work? please reply. I am really in need to good guidance.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Since you have asthama, it would be a risk to let you lose 40 kgs in three months! Mind you; 40 kgs in 3 months is a tough job. I lost 25 in 3 months; the graph is not as consistent as in the beginning. Your weight loss rate slows down with time. try losing 20 in 3 months. I can't help you with the work out routine much because over doing things might just prove to be a health risk. Your treadmil routine sounds good; but it won't give you expected results. Try performing abs routine early morning e,pty syomach and a glass of warm lemonade with honey before bed.

  47. Adi I like ur blog can you tell me is it necessary to jog in the morning or can I do that at any time in the daytime? Because I have to go university early and after exercise I always sweat around half n hour then il be late for my bus.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You can jog in the morning coz not only it is a healthy habit; but also it's safer on the streets early morning. Yes you can jog anytime during the day; but it would be better if you do it on a treadmill in a gym or your own place. You can take a shower after your jog! Try waking up 15 minutes early and take a quick shower after jog just for a cool down.

      Delete
    2. Adi I was planning to jog an hour in the evening as well as walk after that at the same time on treadmill because I come home late. Plz kindly give me a routine other then jog in the morning :(

Thanks very much for your post.
I am 27 yrs old femal and i weigh 79 kgs now. i used to be 110 kgs 4 yrs ago...i have been doing my own diet stuff over the last 4 yrs with intervals and lost those 31 kgs. now i am stuck with this last 15 kgs. and i have lost all my motivation for dieting.. but still i will give this a shot...but the question since i have been doing diet thingy for really a long time do you think that this will be as effective as for other people? iam 5'5" in height and i am mederately active. or is there a different sort of diet that i can do which is not that harsh but still effective. i dont mind if it takes 2 months to do the job. Please advise.

    1. you are not the first person to ask that. Its generally the last kgs that are the most difficult to lose. A serious cardio + weight training exercise routine can help you out. This ones harsh; and its effective on the stubborn flabs; but it might take time.

  59. Hi,

I have some health problems and travel a lot to work. I literally HAVE to eat more than what you suggest, otherwise I'll feel very weak and won't be able to function. In addition, I get home at around 8 and don't get a chance to eat before then, and if I do, it's a lot of carbs (bread, pasta, potato). And because I'm so tired, I can't exercise heavily(although I do have to walk around 5-10 mins to and from the train station to work every day). I do drink a lot of water. Can you suggest an alternative? Are noodles okay? Salads with chicken, no dressing? The first week I *might* be able to survive, but I won't be able to do this regularly. I'll try and get into the routine of morning runs, but as I study I might have to stay up late. Help! I'd really love to lose 15 kilos, but it's not that I lack discipline, I just feel very sick if I don't have energy. P.s I'm lactose intolerant so I can't have milk and dairy products.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. noodles are like a slender version of rice; doesnt make any difference if you think about the carbs. I had my college from 9-6 and i travelled atleast 1 hour on a single way. And what i have described above is a lenient version of my diet. i survived on a bowl of cornflakes, a fruit, half a glass of full-fat milk and handful of peanuts. Ad yeah, a can of energy drink. I worked out for 1.5 hours daily. Now; do you get the required assurance? Salads with chicken; barbecue, mustard and chilli. Instead of milk; why dont you have bananas and egg-whites and soya-products.

  60. Hi!
15 Kgs in a month is very inspiring for those who are like me. I, irritated with my weight. Height 5'2", weight 80kgs, age 36 years, having hypothyroid problem. No exercise, no fruits, no salads in diet, late riser. Tried walk, gym but everything failed due to my laziness & habit of expecting quick results. Once I started fruit diet but I had to visit the Doctor due to hyperacidity.
Should I follow your diet chart? Fruit week means only fruits not even 1 chapati?

I want to come in shape before that. I am going to start your diet from 1st October. But I have few doubts, could you please clarify them?

    1. In fruit week, can we have as many fruits we want or just the amount you have written? Can we have watermelon or some fresh fruit juice as mid meals in between the 3 main meals?
    2. Did you get any kind of weakness after reducing your intake to this much? Or you used to get sufficient energy to move on with your exercise and other routines?

Please reply me back soon. I am looking forward for your reply.

    1. My figure suggests the minimum amount of fruits you are expected to consume. But still; the maximum shall not exceed 2-3 fruits over my suggested limit a day. And yes; the body tends to go week because its just not used to this low intake. But it straightens out after a few weeks. Best of Luck!

  92. Hi Aditya,

I am a strict vegetarian. We are not permitted to eat non veg (even eggs) in our religion. I weigh 102 kg. I am really worried about my weight. I am looking to start your diet plan. Do you have any advice for vegetarians?.

    Thanks
    Siva

  93. Hello! I am very inspired by your weight loss story~ I am currently 71 kg and I am 163cm, which sadly, means that I am overweight. I am aiming to lose 15kg in 6-7 weeks so that I can look good in my school uniform when school reopens next week. Can you give me some advice on how I should stick to the diet, and if doing an hour of exercise 5 times a week on the cross trainer would be enough?

  94. Hey.. I'm 17 too and your story is phenomenal.. What exactly did your work out consist of? And also were you able to give it the same amount of time everyday considering that we have loads of academic pressure as well?

  102. Hi adi... Hope ur doing well... Ur diet is my new year resolution... :) I recently had some chemical diet , somehow lost 6 kgs a month.. But it was a nightmare, I was all weak n my friends were telling me to stop cuz I was literally dead.. Regarding ur lunch diet..with chapati and cooked pulses.. Is it the usual onion n oil based masala with tomatoes.. N chapatti as in made with plain aata? If not... Please Temme the recipe..n one more thing..if am doing cardio on a treadmill..what should b my speed?Reply soon ,thanks..

    1. Yes, the pulses are the usual ones with onion and tomatoes and the chapati is to e made up of plain aata. However, oat/multi-grain are preferable. and for your tread-mill; walk for the first 5 minutes (6kmph); run for the next 5 minutes (10-12kmph) and then again walk for the next 5 minutes and repeat the run. Later, cool down for 2 minutes.

    1. go to the gym in the evening before work; when you get back from work, go for a half an hour walk before you sleep. Replace dinner with lunch, lunch with breakfast and breakfast with nothing. :)
